FAQ

Why the frog?

There are several reasons we chose a frog for our identity:
Frogs are green, like our products.
“regreet, regreet” sounds an awful lot like “ribbit, ribbit.”
There’s only one way you see a frog move—forward— and that’s what we want to do with regreet… keep great greeting cards, notes and messages moving forward!
Frogs move easily between land and water.  Much like our froggie namesake, regreet hops between the digital and offline world, creating connections along the way.
There are more than 5,000 species of frogs … while we may not have that many products, expect new regreet offerings to keep coming!
Hop along with us on a froggy adventure!

regreet talks about being eco-friendly – how are you green?

You’ve heard of the three R’s right? Reduce, Reuse and Recycle?  Well, recycling is great, but reusing something that already exists is even better for our planet.  And beyond that, reducing what we buy is the best way to improve our planet’s chances for a healthy future. regreet helps you practice all three R’s:
We use recycled material in all of our products and packaging
regreet kits enable you to reuse existing cards
Using regreet kits reduces the number of greeting cards you need to buy
In addition, all of our products are printed by Print4Change, which donates 50% of everything they earn to bring water, food, shelter and education to those living in extreme poverty.

What is regreet’s privacy policy?

At regreet™, we are committed to protecting your privacy.   We only use your information to process orders or send you information you’ve signed up for and to provide a more personalized shopping experience.   We will never sell or provide your information to a third party for any use that you have not approved.  You can see our full privacy policy here.

What size cards are the regreet kits designed to fit?

Regreet kits are designed to fit vertical, standard sized greeting cards. The labels and envelopes accommodate most square cards and can be easily trimmed to fit smaller cards. They can also be adapted to fit greeting cards that are oriented horizontally.

Do I need to add postage if I’m regreeting a card?

You can send a regreeted card using standard postage rates.  If you include a hop along kit in a regreeted card, you will need to add approximately 25 cents of additional postage.

Can I buy a single regreet hop along a kit to keep a card going?

Absolutely – we love when you encourage more miles per greeting.  Buy one of our single set hop-along kits.  The single set includes the signature label, journey label, note paper and envelope to hop the card on its way to another recipient.

How does Give Back work – how do you determine how much of your donation goes to each charity?

Each charity receives a portion of the donation based on your input!  You can tell us who you “vote” for in 2 ways:

  1. when you buy a greeting card reuse kit, each package has a “direct the donation” code on the back.  Find the direct the donation code on the back of the package and enter it on regreet.com  to choose your charity.
  2. each charity earns points based on the card’s journey.  When you register as a regreet user, you can choose which charity your cards’ “vote” for.  This choice is stored in your profile.  When you register a journey code for any of our regreet products, your chosen charity gets 3 points.  Each time your card hops along to someone else, your charity of choice gets more points – 1 point for each hop.

At the end of the year, we will divide a portion of our profits based on the charity’s proportion of the total points.

How did regreet choose your charities?

We chose charities that are near and dear to our hearts – The Nature Conservancy hits our eco-bone, as an organization dedicated to protect ecologically important lands and water for nature and people.  We love 4-H’s mission to empower young people and appreciate its commitment to learning, development, and healthy living.   Susan G. Komen  for the Cure is a more personal choice.  This is the largest grass roots network of breast cancer survivors and activists.  In 2007, when founder Christy Eichers mother was diagnosed with breast cancer, Christy published a book of family recipes that provided a $30,000 donation to this charity.  With regreet, she looks forward to continuing to generously support the fight against breast cancer.  Learn more about the cookbook project at  www.mixingupmemories.com or purchase one through regreet

When does regreet distribute the donations to nonprofits?

We distribute our donations once per year based on annual profits.
